pritthish Posted July 10, 2008 Share Posted July 10, 2008 Today i decided to upgrade my dell inspiron 1525 from 10.5.2 to 10.5.4 instead of doing the combo update, i tried updating manually to 10.5.3 then to 10.5.4 used the kalyway 10.5.3 combo update. 1st try, got a kernel panic midway, had to restart and got screwed... got everything backed up with macdrive in vista, reinstalled 10.5.2 from the kalyway dvd, used kalyway combo update, it worked... QE/CI seemed to work OOB after update... used software update to install 10.5.4 Now, the main problem: my audio doesnt work anymore.. i used to use taruga's patch for sigmatel 9228 while in 10.5.2 [http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=21477] however, doesnt seem to work here at all :S used kext helper to install the two kexts frm the attachment, rebooted.. nothing... reinstalled kexts, repaired permissions, rebooted, nothing again! anyone else facing this problem? system: Dell Inspiron 1525 120GB HDD core 2 duo Intel GMA 965 Intel built in audio (used to work with sigmatel 9228 patch from taruga) help :S Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/115075-sound-broken-after-102103104-upgrade-s/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
