Not to many free apps only about 5 to 10% are free

Edit: Forgot to mention you must have iTunes 7.7 installed to download apps and you must have a registered account with Apple even for the free apps.

Update: Looks like you can only download them into iTunes I can't seem to find away to load them on my iPod Touch

Those .ipa files that are downloaded by iTunes are just .zip archives. They are stored in /Users/<username>/Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications/. Change extension from .ipa to .zip and unzip it, .app should be located in Payload folder.

Thanks for the tip

I unzipped them then transferred them over to the touch manually, they show up but don't run. I guess I will just wait for the 2.0 firmware tomorrow.
