Does anyone have any suggestions? The search of the forums for that phrase brought up an awful lot (47 pages) of unrelated posts, so I apologize if I missed it in there. Thanks. outZider Posted July 10, 2008 Share Posted July 10, 2008 You're pretty much SOL unless it connects internally to the USB bus. Any PCI bus based internal reader isn't going to work. 95% of USB readers work just fine with built in drivers. lancep93 Posted July 11, 2008 Share Posted July 11, 2008 The cheap-ass one from best buy, a dynex works 100% it sees it as usb mass storage device and mounts any card you put in it fine, just a tip. Since I need this in order to load an SD card with podcasts for my mp3 capable car stereo, I thought having the ability to do it on the road could be useful. I therefore wound up going with a SD to usb converter. I'll post the brand when I verify it does the trick. maximilian298453 Posted July 17, 2008 Author Share Posted July 17, 2008 Hmmm...scratch that, worked ONCE great. Now it shows up in disk utility but not in the finder. Have to figure this one out. Erased it and it's working again. I notice that trying to drag an itunes playlist to it makes it lock up, but dragging the playlist to a directory first, and then copying that to the sd card works fine. Individual podcasts drag straight to the card no problem. Got me. As long as I can get stuff on there.
