steenamaroo
hi everyone! first,,i'd like to say a big thanks for all the support and info and work that goes on here, i have had success with a few nvidia cards, using info from the site,,, but unfortunately i have a problem with the following, and don't know much about the relevant files for agp installs. 10.5.2 leo4allv3 motherboard msi 848p neo v 3.0ghz precott p4 cpu (htt) 2 x 512mb generic ram 512mb agp ati sapphire x1550 (vga tv out and dvi) initially i plugged in the card, with no extra drivers,,and it worked in the basic mode (no res no qe no ci etc) i (correctly) installed natit1300 files, as found on the 10.5.2 hcl for this card, and was only able to boot to blue screen with pointer. then i added my device id to atiradeonx1000.kext (7187 1002) this yeilded the same result.to be honest, i don't know where to go from here, and googling is only really bringing up pci-e responses. could someone give me a bit of a guideline please??i'm not a noob,,,,my last 512mb 7600gs pcie was bios modded etc to get full qe and ci,, i just don't know anything about the agp related files. thanks a lot in advance update,, upon using an x1950xt installer package,,,,i now have the resolution at 1280x1024.there are no other options,,and still no qe and ci,, adding natit or natitx1300 provides a device name but not the right one as below. but it's a starting point right?? hope someone can help as regards qe and ci. TheCondor2012
i may possibly be getting the solution to this issue, im in a similar case to yours, the difference is that graphics card is by VisionTek @ 256MB and after so much frustration i finally got it to the blue screen and before; it didnt even recognice it as AGP, so just give me a few hours or so while i keep troubleshooting so i can get to the bottom of this. I'll post my results later oh, and by the way, im using Kalyway 10.5.2 on a GA-8I848P775-G, Intel 848p / ICH5, Intel P4 @ 3.0GHz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114860-sapphire-x1550-512mb-agp-problem/#findComment-995015 Share on other sites
TheCondor2012
Just two words man: PARTIAL FAILURE Did get past the Blue Screen but not to get the card to work with the QE/CI or change resolution. So it got me to give up, i got no more patience. what i did to get it past the Blue Screen was first load the Natit kext before anything else was loaded, then loaded the ATIRadeonX1000.kext after loading the Natit.kext, and then loaded normally. For more info on how i did this, you can read my post here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry993545 Good luck...
