Riotz
Symptoms: For some reason my USB ports are not working properly on my Lenovo R60. The laptop has 3 ports, one on the left and 2 on the right. The one on the left works perfectly with all my usb devices however it runs at 1.1 speeds. The 2 on the right however do not work. They provide power to devices but will not mount anything. I have tried mice, thumb drives, my ipod, keyboards and external HDDs. None will work. The external hdds will spin up which is how I figured out that power is coming from the port. Setup: Lenovo R60 9457 Kalyway 10.5.2 Vanilla + Kalyway ComboUpdate 10.5.3 Vanilla + Apple Update 10.5.4. Things I've tried: I've tried usb_fix_1.3.mpkg found here > The Clicky Tried the IOUSBFamily.kext 3.1.5 found here > The Clicky Tried Kalyways IOUSBFamilyfix.mpkg on the 10.5.2 DVD Verified that my System.Kext matches the information given by running the command uname -a. If anyone can help me find out how to fix this I would be greatly appreciative. I can setup remote access to the system if anyone is willing to come in and poke around. Here is a SS of my Dev_IDs that I got using DPCIManager.app if it helps. michaspoli
Maybe you have different applesmbios.kext to kernel.
