Cybex
Hi, Trying in this section now, posted this topic before in Post installation questions... I installed OSX Leopard (Leo4all v2) on my Asus P5K/EPU motherboard, did an update to 10.5.4 (vanilla) and everything works fine! Then I installed Leopard Server (package installation), rebooted, works fine! So Leopard Server was working fine on my Asus P5K/EPU mainboard. Then I did an update to Leopard Server 10.5.4 with the "while sleep 1; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext; done" method. If I didn't use this method, the "power off your computer" display showed up. The combo 10.5.4 succesfully installs! Rebooted and then I got the "Still waiting for root device" problem. So: OSX Leopard 10.5.4 (vanilla) works fine Leopard Server 10.5 (vanilla) works fine Leopard Server 10.5.4 (vanilla) problems! (still waiting for root device) I figure that there must be a kext missing in /System/Library/Extensions that loads the sata support, so I though I could just copy the kext from a working OSX Leopard 10.5.4 installation... But what kext should be copied? Or am I on the wrong foot here? Who can help me please? grendelkhan
Did you edit the boot.plist to remove the Don't Steal Mac Os line and replace it with the dmos?
