Hi,

Ok so I have a fully working Leopard install on a HP m8190a desktop. Except for my internet.

Now I know that the Intel 82566DC-2 Ethernet card I have ain't going to work though some people, I have read, are making headway on this. What I am hoping to get working though is my wireless. Unfortunately I don't know what the device is actually called. Leopard is recognising the device in system profiler but I don't know how to get it to use it for internet connectivity. The following is verbatim from Leopard System Profiler

USB High-Speed Bus:

Host Controller Location: Expansion Slot

Host Controller Driver: AppleUSBEHCI

PCI Device ID: 0x293c

PCI Revision ID: 0x0002

PCI Vendor ID: 0x8086

Bus Number 0xfa

802.11 bg WLAN

Version 0.01

Bus Power 500

Speed up to 480 Mb/sec

Manufacturer: Ralink

Product ID: 0x0004

Vendor ID: 0x15a9

Ok so?? Does anyone know the name of this device? Better yet does anyone know how to get it to work. Is it just a case of turning it on or do i need drivers or to hit into kexts? Please help me, I desperatly want to make this my main computer OS; I hate vista so much, especially after how many times it crashed while I tried to get leopard up and running.

Ty for the time guys, I look forward to someones reply helping a new hackintosh user out :)

Mitch

if your wifi is recognized then it's simple. go in system prefernces and open network tab. first time you open this you just have to press apply and then you should be able to press power on radio. after that you should see a wifi icon in right upper corner of your desktop, select there a network and connect.
