I determined that the Core 2 Duo E8400 was the processor for me. I am a 3D artist using maya, so i want the best graphics card for the budget. So therefore I researched and found the Radeon HD 3870 that looks like it might work well. It is a pciexpress 2.0 card so i want to take advantage of that. i found a saphire radeon HD 3870 is that card the best I can get for 150$? or would a gig card with an offbrand be better? or something else? anyways. I need a motherboard that has pci express 2.0 because I want the full use of the card. I used a search on newegg and found all the ones they had, but I cant find out if any of the cheaper ones are compatible with osx. I used this search New egg pci express 2.0 search the cheapest one : BIOSTAR TForce TP43D2A7 LGA :link looks nice. can anyone tell me what I could get that would be pci express 2.0 for 100 or under? or even 130 or 150? also if you have any recommendations to the other hardware I am going to purchase, tell me thanks in advance!
