Ok...so I tried to boot up my Hackintosh partition and it gets to a certain point and the computer just shuts down.

In my Vista partition (running macdrive) I can see the drive, but it is unreadable and not fixable through macdrive.

Like any good boy, I had frequent backups using Time Machine.

What would be the quickest safest and easiest method to restore a Time Machine backup to the leopard partition of my hard drive?

If I booted with Kalyway, could I run the restore from time machine option and would it work?

Should I just wipe the partition with Kalyway and when I'm logging in the first time, tell it to transfer files and such from a time machine backup?

HELP!!!!!!

Boot up with kalyway format partition then from top menu you can restore system from time machine. You will however have to install bootloader manually

Ok...haven't done this in a while....

Is there an easy way to install the bootloader? I really don't want to mess up the other partitions on the hard drive that already exist (one has the bootloader already, another vista).

If I were to simply boot with the Kalyway disc, and choose to restore from the time machine, wouldn't the bootloader partition still be there? And does time machine backup the do not steal this mac stuff, and assorted other items?

Update:

I decided to just reimage, transfer info from my time machine backup. And then reinstall all the fixes (I had them backed up). Took an hour.
