cgsheen
When you are running OSx86 from the external drive: Do you have the proper .kexts loaded for your motherboard chipset? Does OS X "see" your internal drive? If you run the Disk Utility, can OS X partition and/or format your internal drive? If it can: Boot using the Installation DVD. Use the "Disk Utility" to create a Disk Image of your external drives OS partition. Reboot. Boot up using the external drive. Use "Disk Utility" to "Restore" the disk image you just made onto the internal hard drive. You may have to make that partition bootable. Boot off the internal HD... It'll only work if OS X is able to "see" (read and write to) the internal drive. If not, you have to fix your OSx86 installation so the main chipset is properly supported...
