aldrlandon93
Hey, if I have PC_efi_v8 installed and am using a patched kernel (9.2.0) only because shutdown didn't work on 9.3.0, can I update from 10.5.3 to 10.5.4 through software update? The motherboard is a gigabye p35-ds3l and the processor is a core 2 duo e4500. E-werd
It worked flawlessly for me. From what I've seen, its safe for everyone else, too. It does install a new kernel, however, version 9.4.0. If you want to continue using your kernel, you need to keep (I think) System.kext and your kernel, and restore them before you reboot for the update. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong about keeping your kernel/kext. aldrlandon93
Sounds good. So I don't have to remove the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext?
