Jash Sayani
I tried installing Leopard on my notebook several times, but got the same error all the time: HSF+ partition error. Tried almost all the things. Making the partition logical/active, etc. So, is it possible to install it on a FAT formatted drive? And will I face any problems if I do so..? Because most tutorials say: "Open disk utility and format the partition as Mac OS X (Journaled)..." Thanks. kytzu
try to use hiren's boot cd, create a primary fat32 partition, convert the partition ID to 0xAF using the tools from hiren, then boot leo and use "erase" method from disk utility. afaik leo doesn't work on fat Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/113570-kalyway-install-on-fat-partition/#findComment-804145 Share on other sites
Jash Sayani
Thanks for the replies. So, I will have to use HFS+ file system... Ok, then, I'll try installing again on it....
