I tried installing Leopard on my notebook several times, but got the same error all the time: HSF+ partition error. Tried almost all the things. Making the partition logical/active, etc.

So, is it possible to install it on a FAT formatted drive? And will I face any problems if I do so..?

Because most tutorials say: "Open disk utility and format the partition as Mac OS X (Journaled)..."

Thanks.
