My fresh main installation of iAtkos 2.0i (10.5.2) is extremely sluggish on hard drive related actions and internet (but that may just be the hard drive.) I have installed Iatkos 1.0R3 with perfect results, however I did have trouble with getting past the waiting on root device error. This time around I took a different way of fixing this error with 2.0i, by setting my SATA operation to 'compatability'. I don't believe this made any real difference on the performance of the hard drives as I tested this with windows and the hard drive speed was equivalent. So I'm certain there is some kext I can edit or replace to solve this. It seems like that sort of problem to me. Anyways, my specs are in my signature, any help is greatly appreciated .
