borez
Hi there all, Am using the 10.4.4 DVD patched with myzar. Through the installation, I have problems in getting the installer to see my partitions (as follows:) 1) Windows XP 2) Type AF (did using Diskpart) 3) NTFS partition (scratch disk) So I went into Disk Utility, and I realised that my partitions were not mounted. Attempted to mount the partitions manually, but failed. Can someone help me out on this? My system specs are as follows: AMD Opteron 146 + Abit KN8 nForce 4 Ultra Hitachi 60GB PATA Thanks.. macgirl
Does any of your partitions are extended? Those cause problems in Mac OS. borez
Hi there, Nope, all my partitions are primary. That's why I can't figure it out.. If I can remember correctly, I was greeted with something like a partition map error when I was trying to erase partition 2. macgirl
Delete the AF Partiton and see if Disk Utility can see the others and try to make the partition with Disk Utility. Which sizes are your partitions? borez
Delete the AF Partiton and see if Disk Utility can see the others and try to make the partition with Disk Utility. Which sizes are your partitions? Hi there, My partitions are as follows: 1) Windows XP installation (8GB) - this is only the Windows, I've got my program files on a SATA disk 2) OSX86 intended partition (40GB) 3) 10GB scratch disk. By using the Mac Utility to create the partition, it won't screw the other partitions? EDIT: I forgot to mention this as well, but when I get to the grey installation screen, there seems to be a little red "no smoking sign" appearing. After waiting for a while, the installer loads.
