buddymalec
Sorry for posting a problem with the x200 i know there are 1000's of other posts. However this one is a little different. I have been searching forums for hours. This is my last resort. I installed without a hitch. The thing boots right up but comes to a scrambled screen it reminds me of having the wrong video driver installed on windows. The screen is moving and scrambled. I never can even make out what is going on in the screen. Has anyone had this problem and is there a fix? Any help would be appreciated! parachute
I really don't know about your specific GFX card's problems but... - Try not to choose any drivers while installing Leopard. - If the problem doesn't disappear... Try booting with "-x". - Still no go? Have you got a working Windows partition? Get MacDrive and delete GFX card related drivers from your Leopard partition's /System/Library/Extensions/ folder. It could be done in the terminal in OSX but some knowledgable forum member must help, not me. LOLmoe
I also have a problem with X200 Xpress.. I have the Kalyway Leopard 10.5.2 DVD Intel Amd (sse2/sse3) EFI V8... Installation was very smooth. When it is booting, a gray screen comes up, like the apple logo, and its loading, but my scren displays everything gray, and then something crashed. Then, I did the movedrivers thing and its crashed different colors (i can see crusehd letters, etc) i will do the macdrive and do -x. if -x works, what will i need to do? do i ahve to keep doing this to use mac? Thanks I searched ati, x200 (combination) i haven't seen solid answers, does anyone have any answers for me? This is a great community, I really like this. THanks! ok i deleted the drivers from the extension folder. Also, I have tried using -x i am back where I started, it shows the apple logo, and then it loads for couple minutes, then a gray thing slowly like curtains the white screen, then it shows crashed images. can anoyne help me please? Thanks I know i sound like a prick when i come here to get help, but i did my research and everything. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/112321-need-help-with-an-x200m-video-card-not-a-typical-problem/#findComment-842108 Share on other sites
LOLmoe
hey guys, update. I got everything working, but the resolution I have right now is 1024x768, I would like to change it to 1280x800, and I guess everyone talking about the x200m/non-m means there is no 3d acceleration.
