SticMAC™
I've had this once! It was caused by the bluetooth device I had on my machine, see if that is maybe the cause of all your frustrations!? SticMAN

pritthish
I had the problem with the USB devices a few days ago, you just need nysticus's usb fix. just search his nforce thread for usb mount fix 1.3. As to your lagging issue, have you tried reinstalling OS X?
aan310
ok... ill try that usb thing later. As for the lagging, the install CD does it too, unless i do safe mode... so idk... and it is not the CD it's self, cause it works on other computers... pritthish
did you manage to solve the problem?? if not, did you try cpus=1 during boot??
polygonMac
ditto, I'm pretty sure it's cpus=1 When you're booting up from the cd hit F8 and then where it says boot, type in cpus= 1 When you're booting the OS from your machine hit enter to add advanced startup options and type in cpus=1.
