KidCastro
Hi guys, Your speaking to a total noob who wants to install os x leopard 10.5.3 on his pc. I know you guys expect a search and I have done some homework and have attempted to install it before but failed. I tried when I had iatkos v1.0i and it hanged on installing through sata dvd rom. After reasing about this error I found out it was due to me using a sata drive to install. What stage is the osx86 project at? I've read the stickies @ the top of this thread and as soon as I get this up and running I want to make a total noob guide for other people and ultimately give back to the community. Alot of things floating around like, kalway, itakos and retail leopard install but how do you know the best and most practical setup for your hardware? for a total noob this is the hardest thing to work out. I am sure other people come on here and face the same problems but instead of just asking a general question and getting a general answer, I'm willing to input time into learning how this all works. My specs are below and Im sure there compatible:- Gigabyte EP35-DS3P Core 2 Duo E8400 4 GB 800 MHz Geil DDR2 Kit Seagate SATA II 500GB 1 GB Galaxy 8800GT Pioneer SATA 215BK DL Intel Stock CPU Cooler Corsair HX-620 Coolermaster Centurion CAC-T05 What is the difference between all these install types and which one will suit me? Thanks guys, Justin Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/112299-just-need-a-head-start-not-asking-to-be-spoon-fed/ Share on other sites
vaporATX
Try this guide: http://######.com/index.php?option=...6&Itemid=48 Installing on the hardware you have is so easy it borders on mindless. If you haven't been able to install on that hardware don't even bother with 10.5.3 yet. Get a 10.5.2 install working first and get some reading and experience under your belt.
