hello there, new member here, i just completed installing OSX on my external hard drive

i have a hp pavilion dv9335nr laptop, everything went pretty smooth...just finished updating to 10.5.3, i got sound and video working perfectly

anyway, i was wondering how easy it would be to move the mac partition to my laptop's hard drive. then things would be a bit more portable. i've got my external in two partitions...the MAC OSX and a FAT32 drive that's music and videos on it.

my laptop's hard drive is the NTFS windows drive, and a backup recovery partition that came pre-installed by hp

can i just move the mac partition over to the unused space on my laptop drive? i'm guessing it's more complicated than that.

any help is appreciated.

You can clone the partition to another hdd. I did that using Acronis in Windows, with the only problem that the destination hdd had to be larger than the partition you need to clone. But you may have better luck, and it did boot ok for me. All you need is another 2.5" hdd which are cheap.
