BigJoe32 Posted June 23, 2008 Share Posted June 23, 2008 i downloaded the leoprd 10.5 flatimage with torrent.... btw. im using xp.... then i went through all the things in the manuals..... i unpacked the iso, formated the harddrive i want to instal from, made a new ntfs partition on it..... opened compmgmt.msc, deleted the partition i want to install it on, took the write to disk 1 .bat,copied it to the other files... openedit and it copied the io on the external harddrive. then it finihed and it rebooted. i pressed delete to get into the bootmenu...i chose the external harddrive as first boot device....pressed f10 to save and reboot....it reboots ...then it saying loading darwin x68. hen its finihed with loading it it just beginns to reboot again....so it begins to load darwin again and reboots..... what did i do wrong#? im using an asus m2n sli deluxe mainboard....it should work.... hop you can help me ....Bigjoe Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/112226-problem-with-booting-flat-image-from-external-hdd/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

Gujal Posted June 24, 2008 Share Posted June 24, 2008 I think the flat image is only for Intel CPUs. You are trying to load it on AMD CPU which wil cause reboots. Someone had made an image for AMD CPU too. BigJoe32 Posted June 24, 2008 Author Share Posted June 24, 2008 thank you for your answers.... xfidelity: i dont even get into the menu to type in that .... gujal: has it an special name? its the only one i found at thepirtbay.....i thought it was intel and amd because someone mantioned that in the ccmments below the torrent..... i serched for the amd image, but all i found was a manual how to patch it myself.... oh...the only way to patch the image for amd is doing it with 10.4 tubgirl right? or is there any way doin it from xp?
