I've been using OSX86 for some time now and I think I'm ready to go buy a "real" mac. I'm thinking of buying the Mac MIni 1,83 GHZ Core2Duo with 80GB hdd. I can get this for 500€(/$). But this comes with 1GB, but for an extra 70€(/$) i can get 2GB. I wanna use this mac just for internet, watching video's (not hd), and listen to music. Now i'm wondering if 1GB is good enough for this, or should I buy 2GB with it? Will I notice anything?

Thanks in advance.

Buy your memory else where not from apple, at macsales.com you can get 4GB for $95 or another 1GB stick for $25. Here is a direct link: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/mac_mini/intel.

I'm also just going to say your hackintosh is probably better than a mac mini, but its your choice.

The mini should only be able to use 3GB since it's 945p-based. However, the 1GB it comes with should be plenty for what the OP wants to do.
