JeffC Posted March 6, 2006 Share Posted March 6, 2006 I have a Dell Dimension Pentium 4, 3.0 ghz HT processor, a 17" flat panel display, Intel 82865G Graphics Card I am having problems when I am installing the 10.4.5 DVD install. When the install starts I am getting a very low resolution which makes it difficult to read. The install is going great and I am getting all the screens I should be getting, but the graphics looks to be 16 colors and 800x 600. Any help here would be appreciated. GroundZero Posted March 6, 2006 Share Posted March 6, 2006 I'm guessing that it is an onboard video chip, in which case you need to look at the allocated memory in the bios. Dell sets their shared video memory to 1M by default. Change it to 8M and it will probably work fine.
