manny0
Well I had codec for xvid and divx all running through quick time and recently i did the update through software updater and now the video plays and the audio does not. I had to download M player (which i hate by the way) in order to view my xvid and dvix movies and recorded encoded tv shows, anyone else experience this with the new update? SticMAC™
I unpacked the Codec.pkg with Pacifist and extracted the sound codec I think you might need A52Codec This is normally the only codec to get all my videos playing You could also use VLC to play your Videos, it loads faster and you have more options! mschilling
Have you tried installing Perian? I just install Flip4mac and Perian, and that covers all my QT needs so far. Same here mschilling. Perian & Flip4mac plays everything for me. I do use VLC for HD content though, as it doesn't parse the file first. Papa Bear
i didn't even need flip4mac. Perian did it just fine on its own.
