Extremely Slow OpenGL performance in Notebook with Tiger

I experienced extremely slow performance of GUI in 10.4.5 after clean installation. My comp. spec is Fujitsu S6240 with PM 740 and 512MB RAM (GMA900).

 

The synthom is that upon starting the machine the graphic animation becomes very very slow and basically similar to the action with "Shift" key. (e.g. minimizing a windows together with "Shift" key)

 

My guess is the speed step technology influencing the clock of the animation.

Since PentiumM will drop its speed automatically when AC power is removed, it is believed that the moment will drop 60% because the cpu clock has dropped from 1.73G to 7xxmhz.

 

It is also believed that the ACPI: System State option [s0 S3 S4 S5] is affecting the issue. (my option is S3)

 

Could anyone here please confirm it and report further information here?
