Hi there, I'm trying everything to get OSX86 to work on my machine, and after 5 DVD's I'm currently trying the Zephyroth 10.5.2 AMD release. The DVD boots up fine, but during installation this message appears:

The installer could not validate the contents of the "Basesystem" package

It says I should contact Apple and gives me the option to restart.

I've already trying to reburn the DVD at the slowest speeds possbile, but I get the same error. Also, I've tried to reboot the DVD and continue the installation, but that also didn't work. Can anyone help me out?

Yeah I seem to be getting the same problem as well. I got it to install once, but I tried again with the same settings to see if it was a fluke, and it seems it was.

Was hoping to find a way around it. Now im pretty much annoyed that I cant seem to reinstall it again.

For anyone still having this problem (or problems with stability in general) give your memory a once over. Use memtest or some other tool to verify it isn't the cause of the problem. Believe me, I've spent much too long reinstalling and changing cards in OSX, Vista, and XP only to learn that the memory went bad. Alot of the time, its spurratic, random and sometimes everything works fine....but now, with my hours of dumbness and stupidity, this screams memory problems to me.

Good luck!
