ugOSX
It's just imposible... by now! I have a GINA 24/96. I'm learning about the kernels in MacOS, but all my tests were unsuccesfull. Maybe we have to buy some USB/firewire audio device. Let me know if you get a solution, please. kuru
Mac pros don't have PCI slots, so Echo's driver is not designed for this. They list their PCI interfaces silmply as not compatible with Intel Macs. Buy a firewire interface... general666
{censored} ;( I was wondering is there any possibility to force this equipment to work (Kalyway 10.5.2 + Echo Layla24) As I see i should pack the bags with hackintosh & echo. AntOSX
http://echoaudio.com/Downloads/Developer.php Looks like EchoAudio released the source code for drivers. Anyone willing to code a complete driver and resurrect these cards for us? neosapien9
hey guys i figured out whats the cheapest way .... buy a echo audiofire 2 and u could still use the preamps in ur layla3g once its on, just connect unbalanced 1/4 from the inserts of the layla to the input of the audiofire 2..... u dont need to drivers to use the preamp in it once its getting power from the pci slot...... just use an unbalanced cable from the inserts behind ur layla to the audiofire 2 inputs or what ever good little card could work with osx the only con is, u wont see the meters, but i hardly use that anyway cause its inaccurate Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/111475-echo-layla-3g-pci/#findComment-1119825 Share on other sites
neosapien9
I know this could hardly be considered a real "solution" but its the cheapest work arround i could think about if u dont need more than 2 analog ins and 2 analog outs Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/111475-echo-layla-3g-pci/#findComment-1119904 Share on other sites
