hobolooter
I have an AIW 9600XT and running 10.4.4. How do I know if a resolution is supported or not for the computer? I edit the com.apple.Boot.plist and when I reboot my moniter says display out of range and that I should use 1280x1024 60Hz. ??? I thought that when I did "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32" (Vesa 2 so no need for @hz). Anyone have any ideas since someone has a 9600XT working and it's the same thing? jbjonas
try hitting F8 at boot to get the darwin prompt type "?video" there and it will show you all the available resolutions for your hardware Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11121-resolution-out-of-range/#findComment-70387 Share on other sites
hobolooter
Shows a bunch of supported resolutions. 1280x1024xN where N is a bunch of different color depths. I'm just curious if "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32" is not the correct way of booting into a different video mode.
