ZD1211-based cards?

I'm trying to get my USB-Based inexq UR055g USB wireless stick working with OS X86. Looking around the net, I've found that it's based on the Zydas ZD1211 chipset and that there are, indeed, osx drivers for it. However, when trying both drivers (the generic zydas drivers "hacked" on the first page I linked to and the inexq zydas drivers,) I get the following error:

Googling for the error, I've found that this has to do with something about the drivers not being universal. However, is there any way to get a driver like this to work with OS X86? If we could get it working there would be a whole slew of wireless adapters that would work with OS X86.

 

I'm running 10.4.4 too, if anyone needs to know.

Please do a forum search on Zydas. This has been covered since Sept of 2005. I don't believe there is anything new: http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?s=...indpost&p=15601

Although the driver you pointed to is an older version : ZD1211MacUSB_install_1_5_0_0.dmg. There seems to be a newer version: (ZD1211MacUSB_install_3_1_0_0.dmg dated Jan 26, 2006) http://www.zydas.com.tw/web_driver/ZD1211_...all_3_1_0_0.dmg

Even with that installed, I'm getting the same error. The preference pane won't open for it either; it tells me to get an updated copy.
