waderedsox Posted June 14, 2008 Share Posted June 14, 2008 Hi, im new to the forums ans was hoping someone might be able to help me out. Ive been trying to install osx86, any build really, I have a GA-965P-DS3 motherboard with a Q6600 and 2GB DDR2 ram, i also have an 8600GT. My main hard drive is a 200gb SATA and i have 2 other IDE 200gb hdds on a pci ide controller. I have a IDE DVDRW drive thats on the motherboard's controller. I wanted to install OSXon another 40GB IDE hdd. I have tried a dozen different install methods, Kalaway10.5.1_10.5.2, iATKOS 10.5.2, and even a nondvd copy install, they all failed even before i got to the mac screen, ive tried removing the PCI controller, and even my main sata drive. I have read alot about IDE drives not working but thats the only option for me, i was wondering if anyone had been sucessful with a setup like this. KiTzBiTz Posted June 15, 2008 Share Posted June 15, 2008 With what speed do u burn the DVD..please burn them at the lowest speed as possible..if not..please do check your BIOS setup..
