Psystar lays down aces with new OpenServ

While recently browsing the Psystar Website, their home page advertises their new creation... OpenServ.

 

They are boasting that they can support all major OS's specializing in server editions, including Mac OS X Leopard Server. Along-side the OpenServe, OpenGamer is also available but does not have an option for a Mac based OS.

 

Prices for the 1100 Model start from $1599US and for the 2400, $1999US.

The Psystar OpenServ takes the principles of Open Computing and brings it into the business realm . The OpenServ is rack-mountable and capable of running all of the server OSes associated with our Open Computing products. Our OpenServ 2400 has a redundant 600W power supply, dual gigabit lan, 6 drive bays, and tool-less rails.

The OpenServ is equipped with more than just standard hardware. The hard discs used in the OpenServ have a 1.2 million hour MTBF (mean time between failure) rating. Fully-buffered RAM ensures the data integrity necessary for a server environment.
