Before Installation Booting Stops

Please help me... I am stuck at the dvd booting screen showing the following mesage:

 

Kernel Version:

Darwin Kernel Version 9.2.0 : Tue Feb 26 21:21:24 SCT 2008; made by ToH:xnu-1228/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386

 

I have tried all kernels but end up on same message....

nthng happens after that

 

My system specs:

 

Mainboard: Intel 915GM

Processor: Intel Celeron 360 (1.4 Ghz)

Memory: 512+256 MB Ram

Drives: 40 GB Toshiba Model:Toshiba MK4025GAS

Optical: Inbuilt No Idea (HL-DT-STRW/DVD GCC-4244N)

Video Card: GMA900 (research :D)

Network: Realtek 8139 (detected)

 

Please help me....

Hi did you press F8, then at the boot prompt type "-v"(without the quotes), this should give you some indication of the error!

You can also try, "-v -f -x" just to see what happens if it reloads everything!

i have tried -x -v cpus=1 and all kernels but ends up at same place.... will try -f now....and post if it works.....regards,him89.

i have tried -f too....finally end ups at the same place....and i see one more thng.....

it says some thing bout a not able to find a firewire devices security so setting security to deafault mode....

does this have anythng to do with it?

doing some research i have found that u need an external monitor on a 915gm chipset and also that the problem i am facing is a kernel panic....

 

any wayz to get around the kernel panic....

 

please help me....

edit: the kernel panic is at /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext

 

any way to get around it
