Spursboy Liv
Hi there, ever since I've used Kalyway 10.5.2 (my 1st OSx86 experience) I've only been able to load up my Kalyway system in verbose mode, and it does this automatically even without the -v command at bootup. At first I realised it could have been because I had to install new kexts for my graphics card - 512MB ATI Radeon X1650 PRO AGP, as the system would boot into graphical mode (it would just stay at the LoginWindowApplication line) so I had to use the mount -uw / /movevideodrivers command and it then booted up into graphical mode but without any kexts loaded, but I found a solution for this and now they are loaded with QE and CI all fully functional. However, I'm still puzzled as to why it still boots in verbose mode and not with the white Apple bootscreen, so if you could give me a solution it would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance (I have displayed some of my computer configuration below if it helps). ABIT AV8 Motherboard - VIA K8T800T-8237 Chipset AMD Athlon 64+ Processor 3500 1GB DDR-RAM 320GB Maxtor 5200rpm HDD partitioned into 3 separate partitions - XP (NTFS), Leopard (HFS Journaled) & Data (NTFS). 512MB ATI Radeon X1650 PRO AGP 3 ethernet adapters (none work lol) - USB: AEI USB to LAN Ethernet Adapter, PCI: 3Com 3C900-COMBO Etherlink XL PCI and onboard: VIA Velocity Gigabit Ethernet Onboard sound - VIA AC'97 chipset. Kind regards, Livio. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/110364-verbose-mode/ Share on other sites
