jhoussock Posted June 12, 2008 Share Posted June 12, 2008 i know there are a lot of topics concerning the gma950 problems with the recent updates but i still need help and i hope this topic helps any users that may be in my position. From what i gathered from my problem i have with a blue screen after the kalyway 10.5.3 update. i need to back up my gma950 kexts and use the 10.5.2 ones. however no one ever really explains how to do this as im sure its a very simple thing. i believe its the following list i need to fix....correct? Back-up AppleIntelGMA950.kext *AppleIntelGMA950GA.plugin *AppleIntelGMA950GLDriver.bundle *AppleIntelGMA950VADriver.bundle *AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext 4. Install Natit.kext of Paulicat Now in order to do this do i just have to copy the ones in system library extentions folder to somewhere else, perform the combo update paste the kexts back in the original folder and restart? this is the part im confused on... or do i have to use the kext helper program....another thing is how do i install the natit.kext file? hopefully someone has the patents to help a new guy out:) thanks! Basically, its the framebuffer kext and you need to use an older one to get your display working again. Do a search.
