Tim Johnson
I've been struggling for several days now to boot 10.4.4/5 directly. After a fresh install, GRUB gives me an "Error 13", which I assume is because it's trying to boot the efi. I then tried some bless commands that supposedly installed the Darwin bootloader (from 10.4.3) onto the partition, and after that all I got was a blinking underscore (http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=9553&hl=). I then tried some fdisk commands on the Darwin CD that also supposedly installed a bootloader, but which actually just set the active partition and fried GRUB which was in the MBR (http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=10265&st=0). Needless to say, I've reinstalled GRUB and am back to the blinking underscore. Windows XP, Ubuntu, and 10.4.3 boot fine, 10.4.4 does not. (But it does boot fine if I select 10.4.3 and then the 10.4.4 partition). I've tried all of this twice just to be sure. Any help?
