Takuro
Security Update 2006-001 (Intel) v1.0 now appears as an installable update in Software Update. By "security," I'm wondering if they mean further securing Macs to Apple hardware. I know this is sort of a dumb question, but I think some other people are wondering as well: is this safe to download? By "security," I'm wondering if they mean further securing Macs to Apple hardware. I know this is sort of a dumb question, but I think some other people are wondering as well: is this safe to download? Maxxuss already has a cracked update. Just follow his instructions on his website and the installation will go smooth. To answer your question about the details of the update, no, it doesn't appear they did anything to increase the security of OS X, other than replace one file which Maxxuss decrypted. All is Maxxuss has to do is decrypt the updated file and reapply his changes.
