keithpaw
Hi All First of all my Spec Asus Crosshair MOBO Amd Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.01 GHz 2 GB Ram DDR PC2-6400 Nvidia Geforce 6600GT (CLUB) Vista Ultimate 32-Bit OS At the weekend I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on my PC and it install without major problems I do however have a problem with sound (which i think i can download a patch for) and the ethernet does not work. Would I be able to disable the on board ethernet in the bios and use Realtek RTL8139 10/100 TX fast ethernet PCI network card instead (it is on the compatable hardware list) any advice on this and the sound would be great sorry for the noob questions but have been reading the forum for hours Thanks Keithpaw Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109883-no-sound-or-ethernet/ Share on other sites
Josh Fee
If you have a compatible PCI ethernet card, just pop it in there and use it. You shouldn't need to disable the onboard (just don't use it ) As for the sound, what audio controller is it?
