puckslinger
hello, I have 10.4.3 installed working fine but if i boot native i cant get it to see either of the built in network cards for my Asus A8N-SLI Premium Marvell PHY Network 10/100/1000 or Nforce-4 10/100/1000. I read in the hardware list that that the Nforce doesn't work , does the Marvell? would i have to install an addon card and recompile darwin to get OSX to see it? Thanks Puck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10976-built-in-networking-with-asus-a8n-sli-premium/ Share on other sites
anomaly
I have the exact same m/b and use a Realtek 8139 PCI NIC that I had laying around. Try finding a NIC based on a Realtek ic and save some time imo. I don't think recompiling is necessary, when I installed 10.4.2 and found out that neither of the integrated NICs were supported, I dropped in the Realtek one and it worked fine from there on out. I've since formatted and loaded 10.4.3 and still use the same Realtek NIC.
