itschadwhitaker
Hello. I have problem. I'm running Kalaway 10.5.2 on a Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813131013) with an AMD Processor. I have a LITE-ON DVD-RW Drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827106073) Now it will show to the DVD-RW in the eject button. But I cannot view the DVD Drive contents, or burn CD/DVDs. I tried using this ktext driver (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=77071) I copy and pasted that ktext into the extensions folder. Is this the proper way to install a ktext driver? I used that ktext, and restarted... Then the machine wouldnt boot, i would get the failed apple (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y296/youk.../Photo_0666.jpg) I fixed the problem, but I'm back to where I was, NO DVD Drive any ideas? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109518-no-dvd-rw-drive/ Share on other sites
Suzie's Soliloquy
I have that exact DVD-Writer, and can confirm it works in x86, so I'm unsure as to why it's not running in yours Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109518-no-dvd-rw-drive/#findComment-776060 Share on other sites
itschadwhitaker
Yeah it works in Windows XP & Vista, and I used it to install MAC OS X, so I know it works, I'm thinking it is a driver issue. My DVD player it SATA. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/109518-no-dvd-rw-drive/#findComment-777713 Share on other sites
