NoSmokingBandit Posted June 7, 2008 Share Posted June 7, 2008 I have 4 partitions on my pc. 1 hfs, 1 fat32, and 2 ntfs. I changed the icons on 3 of the drives but one of the ntfs drives wont take the icon. I took some png's, converted them to folder icons with Img2Icns and copy/pasted them in Get Info. The ntfs driver lets me read/write on both ntfs drives, but only one like the icon. I checked in the drive and the .VolumeIcon.icns file is there and it is the icon i changed the drive to, but in finder and on the desktop it shows a normal hdd icon. Any help? Tried Posted June 13, 2008 Share Posted June 13, 2008 i had this problem a while back, but when i reinstalled it, it fixed the problem. Make sure you have the latest versions installed. you could also try Paragon's NTFS, which in my opinion works better... NoSmokingBandit Posted June 13, 2008 Author Share Posted June 13, 2008 I tried a re-install before but it didnt help, so i tried again and noticed the uninstaller script in the DMG which i then ran before re-installing. Still didnt do anything. Thanks for the effort though.
