errandwolfe
I just performed an upgrade from 10.4.4 to 10.4.5 using the Myzar patched DVD, everything went fine except for one annoyance. When my computer boots, I get that 8 second press any key for startup options screen, but then the really weird part....Even if I just wait the 8 seconds, it still boots in verbose mode. Any ideas how to fix this? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10931-always-booting-in-verbose-mode/ Share on other sites
antrunix
It boots in verbose mode by default, meaning you see a lot of commandline output during bootup. If you don't like this, remove '-v' from the kernel flags string in the file: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10931-always-booting-in-verbose-mode/#findComment-68671 Share on other sites
errandwolfe
Yeah thanks, figured it out after I noticed that eve though I had already done it, I must have left off the .plist on the file. Thanks for the help anyway though. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10931-always-booting-in-verbose-mode/#findComment-68711 Share on other sites
