Still waiting for root device

Ok i have been trying for god knows how long to get this to work. just will not boot.

it says something in verbose mode that starts with USBF then, "Still waiting for root device" HOW DO I FIX THIS. I will not buy a pata drive when my sata drive can/will work if somebody fixes the nforce problem many of a us are having and have complained about and i will not buy a new chipse when mine can/will..... So what are my options to get LEO4ALLV3 to boot up after install :censored2: :censored2: . i finally find one that install but dose it boot NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

 

i may seem mad my my patience is running thin many people have this issue any nothing is being done

I've also been having the same problem.

I just installed 10.5.2 and as soon as it boots everything it says Still waiting for root device.

I tried removing my IDE drive and just using my usb cd drive,but no luck.

Could it be a hardware problem?

 

Windows XP Professional

Ram- 8 Gigs Kingston

Nforce 780i sli

DVD/CD Drive HP dvd840

Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX

1 Terabyte-HD-SATA(I split it in half for Windows XP and OSX)

800 Watt PSU

 

I tried setting my IDE drive on master,but that didn't help either.

 

Please help

 

And if your trying to install it the way I fixed it was I used a usb cd drive not SATA or IDE

chill dude. You can't just expect for everything to work your way it's trial and error.

 

 

You need to use leo4allv2 sata is uncompatable i believe
