GeForce 8600 with EFI

I successfully installed PC_EFI v8 using this guide:

I heard that we can use GeForce 8600 GT card without using NVinject / Natit if we have PC_EFI installed. How can i do this ? I saw that there is a folder called "pc_efi_6_bootloaders" which contains a file called "boot_gf8600". How can i install this file ?

Thanx a million dude, i really really appreciate it. This link was very useful. However it didn't solve my problem. When i reboot after doing all those steps, i get a Blank screen, i.e. there is no signal in my monitor. But i know that Mac OS X is running becuz i can hear the sounds and when i click somewhere my HDD Leds start blinking... although i can't see anything on the monitor.

 

To go back to the point where i can see my desktop, i had to boot with -s option and type rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/NVD*

 

Now i get this in the profiler:

if you use the vga connection then there you might have to change it to a vga-dvi adapter. using the "pure" vga connector i had major problems with resolution changing and had performance issues ie. during video playing.

I've been trying for the last 3 days, i spent lots of time reading evey graphics related post here and other osx86 forums but no luck. I have several versions of Leopard which are: Kalyway 10.5.1, 10.5.2, 10.5.3, Leo4Allv2, Leo4Allv3, iATKOSr2... i tried installing each one several times and i tried different versions of AppleSMBIOS, different kernels, different versions of NVinject, Natit and NVKush but no luck. I tried my VGA port, DVI port, and TV-out port but no display.

 

Can you do me a big favor and attach those NVidia related files from your System folder? and also your version of AppleSMBIOS.kext and your Boot.plist file

I have a question. What is the advantage or disadvantage of using and EFI string to handle the 8600 versus the inject method? I'm a kalyway newbie and frankly I don't even know what I have here, but I'd like to figure out if there is any optimizing I can do and why.

i can t have internal screen when driver loaded laptopdisplay.kext don t work
