frickingphil
Hey guys, I got a native install working on an eMachines T2042, running 10.4.3 Build 8F111g (installed from a JaS patched DVD). I installed through VMWare onto the tiger-x86-flat.img, then dd'd the 10.4.3-ized tiger-x86-flat.img to an actual HDD and it's booting perfectly fine. The only thing is (and yeah, I've seen this in the HCL) that the integrated graphics card does not seem to want to play nicely with OS X and is displaying corrupted colors. I know that the graphics card is an Intel Extreme Graphics, and I can't imagine that ALL the Intel Extreme Graphics cards would be having this problem. Is there a way that I could force a driver for this card to be loaded? Like one that could be for a card related to it but just might work? I remember doing this sort of stuff for the Vista beta (used a GeForce 5200 driver for my 6800) but is there any way to get it working, short of buying a PCI graphics card and using that? System Profiler lists the following for Graphics/Displays Type: VGA-Compatible Controller Bus: Built-in VRAM (Total): 128MB Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x2562 Revision ID: 0x0001 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded I'm running at 256 colors, but I went into Universal Access and switched it to greyscale, which improved readability somewhat. Other than that, the OS feels pretty snappy (it's a little refresher from my iBook)...
