1. Hey guys, Whenever I boot into OS X and then shut the computer down, WOL stops working. I've enabled it in System Preferences, and in the motherboard options, but it only works when I've booted into windows and then shut down from there. Anyone run into this weird problem or got any ideas? Computer: Gigabyte GA-Z68P-DS3 / i5-2500K / Radeon HD 4850 / 8GB RAM OS's: Windows 7 64-bit, OS X 10.7.1 64-bit
2. Radeon 4850 + 10.6.8

Alright, so I've got everything else besides the GPU working in Snow Leopard. I have another OSx86 Install on this same computer running Lion with the GPU working fine, but those kexts (ATY_init 64-bit among other things) don't seem to work in 10.6.8, I get a corrupted display. ##### install for the 4800 series doesn't work, even with GraphicsEnabler=Yes, it just sits there at the Grey Apple logo (or text console if -v is enabled). Oddly enough, the rest of the computer boots up fine, and I can screen share into the computer and control it and shut it down or whatever. GraphicsEnabler=No and no ATY_init gets me a display but it's not accelerated and is 1024x768 resolution. Tried both DVI ports, nothing. Monitor is a 22" HDTV connected through a DVI -> HDMI cable. Reports itself as a Zoran Matrix, 1680x1050 native resolution. Again, works fine in Lion, but I'm trying to run Snow Leopard to see if it fixes a weird Premiere Pro CS5 crash problem that I have...
3. Can't get ATI HD4850 working in 10.7.1

I found the right combination of stuff: -the latest ATY_init beta from netkas.org -ATI4800Controller & ATIRadeonX2000 modified by someone (i forgot already, but I made sure to burn these kexts to a CD lol) -GraphicsEnabler=no -Chimera 1.5.1 I've attached a zip of the 3 kexts that worked for me, in case someone else happens upon this thread with the same problem. I installed them to S/L/E by dragging them onto Kext Utility. 4850kexts.zip
4. Can't get ATI HD4850 working in 10.7.1

Maybe I'll try running that ATY_init with GraphicsEnabler=No and see what happens.
5. Hey guys, I'm at wit's end with this GPU. I've got everything else working in OS X, sound, network and all that jazz, but I cannot change resolution past 1024x768 and I don't have QE/CI. I'm running in 32-bit mode because my keyboard is PS/2 and Voodoo PS2 seems to only work with a 32-bit kernel. I've tried: adding identifier to ATI4800Controller.kext using ATY_init from netkas.org (which ended up causing KP at boot) using 10.7.1 qe/ci exotic patch from netkas.org adding identifier to ATIRadeonX2000.kext turning GraphicsEnabler on & off installing 10.6.8 driver using ##### installing Chameleon 2.0-RC5, as well as Chimera 1.4.1 & 1.5.1 I see entries in the Console for "com.apple.kext.ati4800controller might not load - kextd is currently unavailable" too. Hopefully someone's got ideas I haven't thought of, this is my first hackintosh (but nowhere near my first Mac, lol)
6. Intel Extreme Graphics driver?

Hey guys, I got a native install working on an eMachines T2042, running 10.4.3 Build 8F111g (installed from a JaS patched DVD). I installed through VMWare onto the tiger-x86-flat.img, then dd'd the 10.4.3-ized tiger-x86-flat.img to an actual HDD and it's booting perfectly fine. The only thing is (and yeah, I've seen this in the HCL) that the integrated graphics card does not seem to want to play nicely with OS X and is displaying corrupted colors. I know that the graphics card is an Intel Extreme Graphics, and I can't imagine that ALL the Intel Extreme Graphics cards would be having this problem. Is there a way that I could force a driver for this card to be loaded? Like one that could be for a card related to it but just might work? I remember doing this sort of stuff for the Vista beta (used a GeForce 5200 driver for my 6800) but is there any way to get it working, short of buying a PCI graphics card and using that? System Profiler lists the following for Graphics/Displays Type: VGA-Compatible Controller Bus: Built-in VRAM (Total): 128MB Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x2562 Revision ID: 0x0001 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded I'm running at 256 colors, but I went into Universal Access and switched it to greyscale, which improved readability somewhat. Other than that, the OS feels pretty snappy (it's a little refresher from my iBook)...
