theSpam
Let me guess, you are using an USB mouse. Just find a PS/2 mouse, and it'll be fine. Or you can get an USB keyboard. OSX doesn't like it if you use PS/2 and USB together. classclownfish
I'm having the same problem with my install. I did the generic DVD image, and I am using an AMD Athlon 3400+ ClawHHammer and a MSI Neo Platinum motherboard. I have tried just the keyboard ((PS2)), keyboard and USB mouse, and both PS2 keyboard and mice and still, no good. I even tried a different PS2 mouse/keyboard combo and it didn't work. Any suggestions would be wonderful. --Abbi Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10887-ps2-keyboards-on-my-x86-system-help/#findComment-72869 Share on other sites
numberonekiwi
I am assuming that you are using the ApplePS2Controller.kext from 10.4.3 or earlier located in /System/Library/Extensions folder if not copy this kext to your 10.4.4 or 10.4.5 folder from your old install ( you may need to do this from 10.4.3) then under terminal sudo -s {enter password} chowm -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10887-ps2-keyboards-on-my-x86-system-help/#findComment-72876 Share on other sites
