Blackice
OSX86 installs fine on the MD8080. Only problems are with: - the inbuilt WLAN card (no drivers) - the CMedia AC97 audio (the HCL says it works, though ) Just dd it onto an AF partiton, boot with -s, and delete/move the /System/Libraries/Extensions/ATI* files, and the ACPI files. Now you should be good to go, with working USB! Also, the OEM DVDROM and DVD+-R/W (Sony something and Pioneer A06) work perfectly as they are. If anyone has any idea how to fix the sound, it would be appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1088-medion-md8080-success/ Share on other sites
Blackice
ok, well the Cmedia AC97 IS supported in the drivers, but they refuse to load, due to a missing com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily.kext Also, boot up has a problem with the same driver, being unable to find com.apple.iokit.IOUSBUserClient.kext any ideas?
