David86
after Installing 10.5.3 using the 10.5.2 method netkas posted i realized my hd using the jmicron controller no longer shows up. Besides the hd issue it works fine, it updated apple hda so all i had to do was reinstall that. Does anyone know what files i need to change to regain jmicron support, i tried the JMicronATA.kext from the iatkos cd and it wouldn't work . Gujal
If the Hard disk is SATA, try enabling AHCI mode for JMicron in BIOS or install AppleVIAATA*.kext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108585-1053-removed-jmicron-support/#findComment-776430 Share on other sites
Goron
That sounds quiet strange: after 10.5.3 all of my errors during startup concerning jmicron are gone. Now it *seems* to detect the two internal and the two e-sata ports correctly AND btw. startup speed up from 12-15 spins down to 3-5 spins of the circlet ... What board/chipset are u using?
