norcalrivercat Posted June 5, 2008 Share Posted June 5, 2008 If possible try loading your disk into an external case and try and boot externally. That's what I had to do. Although an annoying fix it's possible that could lead to the real problem. kinkster Posted June 5, 2008 Share Posted June 5, 2008 What I did to "fix" this is just mess around with which SATA ports my hard drive and DVD drive are plugged into. I just had to try different things untill it stopped giving me that error. I say "fix" because now I'm getting a different problem, but Im pretty sure Im totally passed the still waiting for root device problem, and this is something seperate.
