robi62
Hi I haven t been around long on the scene but i have done a lot of experimenting with differents osx install dvd like kalyway Iatkos Toh untill today I tried again with leo4all latest distr. I had never manage to get it working because I was getting a blank screen. so I installed it with vanilla kernel as default and gma950 timemachine fix. I rebooted from my usb disk added cpu=1 in appleboot replaced appleintegratedframebuffer with old one and rebooted again this time from normal hdd with -x. I entered my details and then replaced applesmbios with the one that gives you info as a mac book. I Rebooted again but this time I have no keyboard or mouse.I download coolbook and to my surprise it is able to throttle to all frequencies something that in kalyway and iatkos never happend. To get keyboard and mouse working i have to boot with -f so it will load all kext. unfortunately battery meter is not working so i search forum and find a solution for keyboard and power managment I install it and i get back keyboard and mouse plus battery meter but I lose the throttle on cpu..... So why leo install disk AppleAcpiplatformkext lets my laptop throttle while the otherones i tried before dont????? Here is pic to prove what I am saying. robi62
Hi guys would like to have some input does it works for you? Some report that it does not. Coolbook of course is not free is ten dollars but if you download and dont see all frequencies first change smbios if that does not help then try with appleapci http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=770798. Does it work good if you undervolt it as paulicat did??? http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=769614 Share your experience Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108358-vanilla-kernel-working-with-speedstep-look-at-pic/#findComment-809719 Share on other sites

I'm running Vanilla and installed CoolBook and the kexts (AppleACPIPlatform.kext and AppleSMBIOS.kext) of the link above but all I can get is that: And I also run CPUTest that had made 11 successful tests.
