fyrekrig Posted June 2, 2008 Share Posted June 2, 2008 Trying to install Leopard with Kalyway 10.5.2 Disk on an Asrock 775i65G but installation stops at "SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed" I have looked at previous posts on this issue and the common comment is that the DVD used is bad. However I have used the same DVD and DVD drive to successfully install Kalyway 10.5.2 on an Asrock ConRoe1333 so it can't be DVD/DVD drive. The fact is also that I have previously installed Jas Tiger (10.4.8) on the same Asrock 775i65G and it is now successfully running with everything working including all audio-in ports. I really like to get Leopard running on this board because on the other board (Asrock ConRoe1333) nobody seems to be able to get audio-in working.
